Right now, I really enjoy Iris Johansen's books and Mary Higgins Clark's books, for readers who enjoy suspense and mystery.
- The Lord of The Rings Trilogy by J.R.R Tolkein
- Life of Pi by Yann Martel
- Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
- Holes by Louis Sachar
- Big by Roald Dahl, or any of his books
- Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson (her books are so heartwrenching, but oh so good.)
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Eragon by Christopher Paolini (for fantasy readers)
- Alanna (a series) by Tamora Pierce.
- For Thriller Mystery lovers, Temperance Brennan novels by Kathy Reichs and Eve Duncan Forensic Mysteries by Iris Johansen are awesome. They would be hooked to the series.
